Here are answers to the most common questions to help you feel informed and at ease.
What gear should I bring?
Digital camera, DSLR or mirrorless, lenses, Wide angle for sky portraits, A portrait lens and a fast focus lens for action. Laptop for editing plus an external hard drive.*Flashes and soft boxes will be supplied by us.**Rentals can be coordinated with us, there is a place in Portland or you can have Lensrentals ship to Kseny in Portland.
What level of photography do I need to have?
You will need to know how to work your camera in manual mode. We will not be teaching you how to operate your camera. We will be teaching settings needed for the different sessions and you will need to know how to change your aperture, Shutter speed, and ISO plus AF settings, burst mode, continues/Servo etc.
What level of editing do I need?
You need to know Lightroom and basic photoshop.
What is the goal of this workshop?
Improve your photography skills to the next level and connect with like minded pet photographers
What if I get sick or can’t attend the workshop, do I get a refund?
Yes! If you cancel at least 30 days before the workshop start date, you’ll receive a 100% refund minus credit card fees. If you cancel within 30 days, your payment will be converted into a full credit that you can apply to a future workshop or any course in our school.
How many people will be in the group?
We keep it intimate and personal—no more than 6 participants. This ensures hands-on learning, deep connections, and plenty of individual support.
